Established as a German settlement in 1683, the aptly named Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia has transitioned several times over its 400-year history, resulting in a built community with architectural styles that include Queen Anne, Second Empire, Gothic, and Victorian.
Focused around a central courtyard, the project takes cues from the materials and colors of the neighborhood’s rich contextual history.
